    I got Athena. 🙁

Sure, wisdom and all that. But why can’t I be some cool God, like Ares?

  2. Ahna G says:

I got Astarte. Never heard of her. She’s represented by the moon. My CareBear is Bedtime Bear…which has a moon on its tummy.

Athena’s awesome. In the grand scheme of things, she’s far more important and way cooler than Ares. Ares may have been the god of war, but Athena was the goddes of wisdom, weaving, *and* war. Not only that, she was the patron goddess of important Greek heroes like Odysseus and the city of Athens was specifically named after her. The Greeks didn’t really like Ares very much, so he has relatively few stories. Consider yourself lucky!

Yeah, but Ares was pretty cool in “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys”, which stars Kevin Sorbo, a Minnesota native.

Also, wasn’t Ares’ counterpart Mars the father of Romulus and Remus? Therefore, we should thank Ares for being able to learn Latin in this day and age. And, by extension, shouldn’t you be thanking him for (a portion of) your job? 🙂

Oh ya, I got Artemis! (don’t read too deeply into the fact that I took a quiz to find what goddess I was!)
